While on the film front, he is the only actor to have as many as four films in the Rs 100 crore club with Dabangg, Ready, Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger, producers such as Ramesh Taurani and Subhash Ghai are offering him as much as Rs 100 crore for every film he does with them.”

On the other hand, Salman has also signed a soft drink brand endorsement for around Rs 20 crore.

According to another source: “Since the past two seasons, Salman has been the biggest driving force behind the show and ever since he has come in, the TRPs of the show have skyrocketed. It’s only natural that they pay him so much.”

A source from the channel states: “His presence on the show justifies the Rs 40 crore amount that is being paid to him.”

B.o.B’s video for his hit single “Both of Us” — featuring pop country crooner Taylor Swift — dropped Wednesday, and it’s a tribute to the hard-working everyperson. In fact, the video doesn’t focus on the superstar duo for too long, as it cuts to scenes of every day people, from all walks of life, living their day-to-day lives.

The rapper and the pop star filmed the video in Nashville, where they reportedly had to battle pesky bugs and “giant” spiders on set. During one particular scene. Swift is walking through a field of flowers — playing with one very “uncooperative” dog — while singing the hook of the song, “I wish I was strong enough to lift not one but both of us / Someday I will be strong enough to lift not one but both of us.”

In many ways the video, directed by Jake Nava, is simple. It’s not flashy or overproduced like B.o.B and Swift’s previous videos. To quote Jessie J’s track, “Price Tag,” of which B.o.B is featured on, “It’s not about the money.” Instead, B.o.B. and Tay Sway just want to make sure that this summer, you take the time to appreciate the little things in life, like running through sprinklers and playing a good game of pool — or if you’re feeling as adventurous as Swift, jumping into a pool.

Khloe Kardashian turns 28 years old today, and the reality star has reportedly started the process of getting herself the most beautiful birthday present possible: a baby!

Yes, folks, Khloe has started fertility treatments, according to multiple reports.

Aside from that major step, Khloe’s life is relatively calm when compared to her sisters. She isn’t dating the world’s most famous rapper or battling with ex in court.

She isn’t pregnant, nor is she dating Scott Disick, a man who constantly makes John Mayer look UN-douchebag-like.

Instead, Khloe just appears on her family’s scripted reality show, poses on many red carpets and appears genuinely happy in her marriage to Lamar Odom. Those two certainly showed us!

Every time Lolo Jones was tossed a softball question, every time she was given a chance to downplay her struggles in the preliminary round of the women’s 100-meter hurdles at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials on Friday, she chose to bury herself in criticism instead of covering herself in glory.

She could have tried to shrug off her obviously slow start and labored effort during the middle of the race, which left her third in her heat with a time of 13.01 seconds, 15th-fastest among the 21 women who advanced to Saturday’s semifinals.

Instead she turned the occasion into a public self-flaying, though it’s unclear if that sprang from a drive for perfection or a response to the pressure that has mushroomed around her because of her good looks, the inspiring story of her impoverished childhood, and her recent remarks in an HBO interview about her faith and her virginity.

Her face is on magazines, her image on TV screens, but the 29-year-old has yet to win an Olympic medal and prove there’s substance behind the hype. In a tough field that included the last two Olympic champions — Athens winner Joanna Hayes and Beijing winner Dawn Harper — Jones had to put everything out there, and she wasn’t pleased with how it looked or where that leaves her chances of finishing in the top three and earning a berth on the London Olympic team.

The questions started off gently, softly.

Was she satisfied with her race?

“Are you kidding? No. Did you see the race?” she said. “Obviously not. It’s the preliminaries, though, so I didn’t care.”

But she obviously did care because she wouldn’t let it go.

Another questioner tried a different tack, asking if she felt she had gained momentum for the semifinals by not caving in to nerves after a false start two lanes over.

“Not really,” she said with a grimace. “But sometimes I run my best races when I’m pushed in the corner. There’s not a lot of time to worry. I’ve had races where I’ve run like 12.9 and after a lot of those dropped to 12.4.

“So it’s not really a big deal. I am concerned, but I just know there’s room for improvement.”

A lot of improvement. U.S. champion Kellie Wells had the fastest preliminary time, 12.68 seconds and Harper was third at 12.79. Hayes, making a comeback at 35, also moved on with a time of 13.06 seconds.

“You can’t help but see the times,” Hayes said. “We’re in there warming up so you see what they ran so you’re like, ‘She’s ready. She’s ready. She looks good.’”

Hayes said Wells “looked really good and smooth,” and also singled out Harper’s effort. She didn’t mention Jones, but she didn’t have to because Jones critiqued her own effort so harshly.

Jones rejected the notion that the steady rain affected her performance, saying she’s used to rain and humidity at her training base in Baton Rouge, La. She also said the two hamstring pulls she suffered while competing indoors weren’t factors Friday.

“Everybody is hopeful, and I am as well,” she said. “I’ve just got to put things together.

As widely expected, Savannah Guthrie will be named the new co-anchor of “Today,” according to a late afternoon story in The Hollywood Reporter — effectively confirming what many inside and outside NBC News have anticipated for weeks.

As attributed to sources inside the network, Guthrie will be named as soon as a role can be worked out for Ann Curry, who is expected to remain at NBC. Timing is something of a question: A New York Times piece last week said NBC had been working on the transition though Curry had retained outside counsel, well-known Washington attorney Bob Barnett. In other words, it’s all a matter of money at this point.

Guthrie — Australian-born though educated at the University of Arizona and Georgetown, where she earned a J.D. — got the job as co-host of the third hour of “Today” about this time last year, and some industry observers figured that was more significant a promotion than Curry’s. Curry stepped into the co-host role after Meredith Vieira left, then Guthrie, chief legal correspondent and a White House correspondent, moved to the third hour — seen at the time as a “grooming” move in preparation for the day Curry left, or was eased out.

Curiously, there are some — or at least were some — inside NBC who didn’t think Guthrie was quite ready for the big move to the 7 a.m. mother ship. She’s not particularly well-known to viewers, and familiarity is coin of the realm in these jobs. Moreover, her face time with the “family” — or at least head of the family, Matt — has been somewhat limited simply by virtue of her 9 a.m. role (the exception of course is Al Roker and Natalie Morales, with whom she co-hosts the program). She’s also a serious anchor-reporter, exhibiting almost none of the looseness — or glibness — that these jobs sometimes demand

But time is now on her side. “Today” wants to get her into the role pronto, if only to give Lauer some relief in his ongoing Olympics duties. Plus, the Olympics, beginning next month, will be a glorious platform to introduce the world to this still-largely unknown newcomer.

For NBC, the transition is tricky but not remotely like the Deborah Norville-for-Jane Pauley fiasco which blew up in the network’s face.

With both halves of this couple in Toronto for tonight’s MuchMusic Video Awards, Bieber reportedly rented the vehicle yesterday and took Selena to Stratford, Ontario, home to North America‘s largest classical repertory theater.
